The Apps have been developed for students and trainees that have worked with Professor Herman but are made available to any medical practitioner who would like to utilize them within the scope of his/her medical practice. The calculator makes suggestions that can be used to help dose patients, but these suggestions should never replace good clinical judgement when it comes to providing patient care. The pharmacokinetic equations and population estimates that are used in these calculations are based upon published information. This is a one sheet summary of the equations used in the pharmacokinetic Apps and this a detailed summary of where the equations and pharmacokinetic data used in the Apps are derived. To help you learn how to use the Apps there is a document that that has 8 cases that demonstrate how the prospective and retrospective dosing can be done. In addition there are 15 more cases where you can practice using the App and then verify your results with the actual solution. Ron Herman
This site makes available tools that can be utilized to enhance patient care at the point that care is given.
